If you’re yet to watch “Decibel”, keep reading for a brief review of what you can expect from the film. The scene opens with Jeon TaeRyeong (played by Cha EunWoo), Navy Sonar Technician / PO 1st Class, hiding a scarf behind his back before walking away from Kang DoYeong. The Commander stops him to ask what he has holding and whether it was a present for him. TaeRyeong initially hesitates but decides to hold it out to him as a gift for commemorating RIMPAC (the Rim of the Pacific Exercise). Kang DoYeong readily accepts, instantly expressing how thrilled he was before wrapping it around his neck, claiming that it must be handmade by his girlfriend for it to feel this high-quality. TaeRyeong mentions that he bought it and DoYeong backtracks, saying that all that matters is that it is nice and warm. He gets up and rounds up his team, including Explosives Engineer / Navy Lieutenant Jeong TaeSeong (Lee JongSuk), to take a picture together, which is also where he announces that Navy Lieutenant Hwang (Lee MinKi) had just become a father. Everyone rejoices, celebrating new life, while the submarine marches on underwater, merely 6000m away from danger that could change their lives forever. From this scene alone, you can imagine that the stakes are high in “Decibel”. With such a stellar cast and striking premise, this is a movie that you do not want to miss.
