She started the song with a new verse/rap, unlike the original. Yet by coming to the chorus, she kept it original. The vibe of the song and the set was dark, and SoYeon diffused that in herself. Adding the finger swipe over her tongue enhanced the vibe of the performance. And the ending stare at the camera was to die for.
5. SoYeon’s Rap In Opening Performance For “Queendom”
If you are not a fan of (G)I-DLE’s SoYeon now, this performance will surely cast its spell on you. Though seemingly simpler than the ones before, SoYeon rapped 8.32 syllables per second in the opening verse, which we do expect from the fastest female rapper in the K-Pop Industry. SoYeon proves that she does not need fancy props or dresses for her performance. She herself is enough to set the stage on fire.
6. SoYeon’s Performance In League Of Legends Opening Ceremony
As mentioned before, SoYeon is a member of a virtual group K/DA alongside her fellow (G)I-DLE member MiYeon. The two performed ‘Pop Stars’ alongside foreign artists, Madsion Beer and Jaira Burns, in the 2018 Finals of the League Of Legends. Though all of the artists outdid themselves by giving such performance. SoYeon was an absolute eye candy. Not only did she make a strong entrance by starting the song. She continuously interacted with her AI, Akali. SoYeon had great stability and body control, standing out before the overwhelming effects showcased throughout the performance (The AI).
